Boating times (added 19/06/2025)

Competitor trailers may be dropped off on the Friday afternoon between 14:00 and 20:00. Access to the lake on the Friday would need to be arranged with Dorney Lake.

NOTE - We are expecting warm and sunny conditions on Saturday. Please ensure you keep yourselves fully hydrated, protected with sun cream and a hat for shade. There are 2 permanent drinking water points at the Dorney Lake boat house for topping up your bottles.

The Regatta will be run in two halves, a morning regatta and an afternoon regatta, each producing winners. All crews will race a Time Trial, and then be allocated to Finals. The Time Trial will be over 1,900m, and Finals over 2K. Our objective will be to give all crews a Final side-by-side race, but this may not be possible in all cases. Should conditions not permit side-by-side racing, results will be based upon the time trial results, assuming that these have been completed.

Provided that four crews race in each event, winners will receive individual prizes.

Regatta competition rules

  • Run under British Rowing Rules of Racing and Row Safe guidelines.
  • Up to 8 lane racing over 2000 metres on still water.
  • All entries and payment via BROE only (overseas crews will need to contact British Rowing to access the BROE system).
  • Racing in each boat class will be a Time Trial and the results of which will determine which Final the crew will be assigned, the Regatta will at this time allocate the number of boats each Final.
  • Some events/boat classes will be combined finals to make closer racing.

The Regatta does not take control of Dorney Lake prior to Saturday 21st June 2025, therefore if you wish to use the lake prior to the Regatta you will need to book with Dorney Lake Services directly and pay the appropriate lake usage fee.

We will again be offering morning and afternoon sessions. Each session will contain a time trial to seed crews for the finals.

The list of entries, draw/time trial start order and results can all be tracked on Time Team. You will also be able to follow the racing live on our YouTube channel.

Competitor race day information will also be posted prior to the Regatta, including competitor instructions, circulation patterns and safety information.

Car parking at £10 per car will be available in advance in our online shop. On the day car parking will cost £15 at the gate, boat carriers and towing vehicles excepted. Card payments accepted, but please have £15 in cash available in case we encounter any technical difficulties.

We look forward to seeing you at the Regatta, but if you cannot attend please do follow the racing via our live video stream.
