Supporters

Marlow Regatta at Dorney Lake welcomes all supporters to the Regatta. Whether you support a particular Club or just enjoy the spectacle of high-quality crews, many of which are eights, racing six, seven or even eight abreast on the Olympic course, you are equally welcome.

Held at the 2012 London Olympic Regatta venue, races at Marlow Regatta are held over the full 2,000m distance. We’re lucky enough to attract top crews from clubs, schools and universities across the UK, and internationally with crews from Europe, Australia, the United States and China, having joined us as a warm up race for Henley Royal Regatta two weeks later.

To provide crews with an event which offers the fairest form of racing, we run time trials for all crews during the morning, and then, from these results, allocate crews to A,B.C…. side-by-side Finals. This leads to nail-biting races for crews and spectators alike.

In 2026, we will be splitting the Regatta into a morning regatta and an afternoon regatta. Meaning they’ll be some exciting finals before the lunch interval. There has been a shake up to the racing schedule too, and more details will be available on that in May.

During the time trials crews are set off at 30 second intervals in adjacent lanes. Finals are programmed every five minutes, so there is always a race coming down the course. The usual range of refreshments are available from either mobile units alongside the course, or from the very comfortable Lake View room above the Boathouse, which as well as having a licensed bar, also gives splendid views of all the activity on the boating rafts, and an unrivalled view right down the course.

Enjoy your experience at the Regatta

Just come along and watch

Admission to the course is by car, for which an advance charge of £10 is made, £15 on the day, regardless of how many occupants. Advanced purchases are only available in the week prior to the regatta from the online shop. The car park is alongside the Lake, where a well surfaced path allows you to walk the whole length, from Start to Finish, with a race passing you every five minutes.

Become a Subscriber

If you want to be certain of a prime car parking space and enjoy a really good view of the racing, then this is possible by becoming a Subscriber to the Regatta. Subscribers can pre-purchase reserved car parking spaces (ideal for picnics). Food stalls are available near the Finish and also from the Boathouse Lake View Room, which in addition to a licensed bar, affords a view down the entire length of the course. We do ask Subscribers and their guests to maintain a reasonable dress standard.

Book a Club Marquee

If you are coming as a group of Club supporters, then it is possible to book a spot for you to erect your own small marquee. This can then act as a focal point for all the Club’s supporters, alumni and competitors to gather, and generate some real club spirit!

See below for more information.

How to become a Subscriber

At Marlow Regatta at Dorney Lake, we aim to perpetuate some of the traditional Regatta atmosphere, by providing Subscribers with a reserved area within our main tent where they can relax, whatever the weather, and enjoy a superb view of the racing.

The minimum subscription is £36, for which you will receive one Subscriber’s badge and one Guest badge. Additional Guest badges are available at £18 each. There is no upper limit to the number of guests. These allow access to the reserved area of our main tent, which is for our supporters (Subscribers and sponsors) and their guests. Refreshments are available from mobile units nearby. A wider range, including a licensed bar, is available from the Lake View Room, which is above the Boathouse. Download the subscription form here, or follow the link below.

Subscribers also have the added benefits of being able to purchase reserved course side parking.

We encourage Subscribers, Sponsors and their Guests to follow a “smart casual” dress code, whilst recognising that some may wish to keep to the traditional Club blazer and “whites” i.e. the iconic Henley Royal Regatta code.

Reserved, course-side, car park spaces are available at £32 per 3m bay. These have proved very popular, being adjacent to the course, with good views of the racing, and are ideal for picnic parties.

Unreserved spaces in the general car park will be available in advance at £10 per car, £15 on the day, regardless of the number of passengers.

Visit the Regatta Shop to make your purchases. The shop will open for subscriptions for the 2026 Regatta on Wednesday 8th April and for general advanced parking on Saturday 13th June.

Booking a Marquee

At Marlow Regatta at Dorney Lake, there is a great opportunity for your Club to invite parents, VIP’s and Alumni along, to see your crews perform at a high-quality event, raced on the 2012 Olympic course. We feel that the Regatta is fairly unique in being able to offer this course-side opportunity for you to promote your Club and engage with your Club’s supporters, and thus promote your current projects.

Available to everyone, the Club Marquees sites range in price from £125 to £215, depending upon the size of the space you require. Full details are available on the downloadable application form or on our online booking page. It includes a few car park spaces which are for your support vehicles. Your guests would pay to park in the general car park and walk to your Club Marquee. Please contact the Subscriptions Secretary if you have any enquiries.

If you are booking a marquee spot, please complete and return the terms and conditions acceptance form, downloadable from here, to subscribe@themarlowregatta.com.
